BitComposer Games announced today that its developing a new horror adventure game for the PC called Alter Ego in Q1 2010. Alter Ego is the latest offering from the Czech studios Future Games, who were responsible for the adventure titles Black Mirror and Nibiru. | |

The "grand finale" of Tales of Monkey Island from developer Telltale Games is dropping anchor on PC this December 8th. An early Xmas gift.
Chapter 5 is named 'Rise of the Pirate God', and will be answering many questions for fans of Guybrush Threepwood, our hero pirate extraordinaire. | |

While LucasArts were busy resurrecting Monkey Island with the Special Edition, which released this summer, a dev found some gems.
Designer Adam Bormann was riffling through old SCUMM code and come across loads of old stuff, just "commented out" and not removed. | |

The OneBigGame initiative donates revenue from games to charities aimed at helping children, and now they've signed up Charles Cecil.
The industry veteran has got UK-based Revolution Software and "come up with a back-story" to Minesweeper, of all things. | |

The clay animation duo has hit two decades old and in celebration, developer Telltale Games is giving an entire episode away for free.
Only for this week though, as well as discounting the full Wallace & Gromit season, with donations given to charities for each sale made. | |

EA has released a new trailer for the remake of American McGee's Alice, and it looks very creepy indeed. This one is for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, but it won't be released until 2011. | |

While the first episode of Telltale Games' Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures did make in onto Xbox Live Arcade, the others so far haven't, with Microsoft retracting release dates.
Now that's all changed because come November 4th, all 3 remaining episodes of the 4 part season will hit XBLA. 'The Last Resort,' 'Muzzled!' and 'The Bogey Man' to go for 800 MSP. | |

Deep Silver and Daedalic today announced that The Whispered World will be released in the UK and Europe on February 12th, 2010. In classic point and click tradition, gamers steer Sadwick and his companion Spot through the game. Little Spot never leaves Sadwick's side and is integral to solving many puzzles. He can take on many different forms throughout the game, which the player can pick and choose at will, once they have been learned. Hand-painted backgrounds filled with animated details and lovingly crafted characters in the style of classic animated movies like "Spirited Away" bring the story to life. "The Whispered World" mixes fairy-tale elements with melancholic tones to create a tale of epic proportions. | |

Adventure creator Charles Cecil, and fellow genre fan Dave Gibbons, are teaming up again as they work on "a new adventure game" together. They've many "ideas for premises".
In the past this pairing has given us 'Beneath a Steel Sky' and recently it has been reworked for the iPhone, a platform that Cecil advises "really brave" wannabe developers to go for. | |

Developer Telltale Games, who've risen to prominence thanks to their resurrection of classic franchises in episodic form, have got something in the works that's 'mind blowing'.
Unfortunately we won't be told what it is, at least not yet. The studio is busy "out in the streets," chatting with folks about franchises. So far they've brought back two LucasArts classics. | |

German publisher dtp entertainment has announced that it will release Gray Matter, an upcoming adventure game for PC from cult writer Jane Jenson, in March 2010. The game was firstly delayed from late 2007 into 2008, and then received further delays into 2009 when dtp dropped the Hungarian developer with Wizarbox, a French developer. With all these delays taking place, could March 2010 be the final date? | |

Last month at the Tokyo Games Show, it was revealed that Resident Evil 5 Alternate Edition would be with us before long. The title includes new content and also works with Sony's PS3 motion controller, with the team "evaluating what they can do for 360 players as well". | |

In anticipation of the October 29th release, Rockstar have added 250 points worth of Achievements for The Ballad of Gay Tony episode. When player's fire up GTA IV with an internet connection the update will take place automatically. The full Gamerscore now comes in at a whopping 1500 points. | |
