Activision has indirectly patted EA on the back for their newcomer Skate, which captured praise of many for its unique control style and approach.
The Tony Hawk name is no stranger to videogames and seems to have lost its edge, the publishing giant plans a "breakthrough" to change all that. | |

It'll be launched under their EA Sports label, the fourth in the series will feature a new physics system to better land those fists of fury.
It'll also include some of the prime fighters of boxing, including the return of the Mike Tyson character - ear biting presumed optional. | |

Yes THQ is digging into the past to bring some of the wrestling entertainment industries greatest names back into the spotlight, at least in the videogame.
The game will be available on the Xbox360 and PS3, hoping to hit the ring sometime next spring around March. | |

The cartoon-ish boxing game, which lets gamers 'break' the face of their opponent, is the first game from under the new Freestyle brand.
The new EA Sports brand label is to address the "growing, more casual sports gaming audience." FaceBreaker to be breaking faces in the ring this September. | |

Sony has revealed a list of all the games that will be showcased at its PlayStation Gamers Day which is currently taking place in London. Games such as Mirror's Edge, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2 are on show, whilst the list also includes Motorstorm 2 which now appears to be called MotorStorm Pacific Rift. | |

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 will be swinging iron, graphite or whatever on Xbox360, PS3, PS2, Wii and PSP this August. Nintendo DS and the PC get snubbed. | |

Peter Moore has come clean about his decision to keep the PC version out of Madden NFL's next draft.
He says it simply "waned" as a platform for EA's sporting arm, he "made a business decision" and says they may well revisit the PC but with a different direction. | |

Sci-fi-London announced today that Electronic Arts will be the official games sponsor for this years Sci-fi-London event, the UK's only dedicated science fiction and fantastic fill festival which will run from 30th April to 4th May 2008 at the Apollo west end theater. | |
