Take-Two's Strauss Zelnick talks MMO "potential opportunities"

Speaking at the Bank of America SmidCep Conference, Zelnick mentioned both a BioShock and Civilization MMO could have "potential opportunities".

Take-Two is currently under-fire from EA's bidding campaign and having to keep any revolts from T2 stakeholders to a minimum as they argue their case to reject the offer.

Sony confirm breach, some PlayStation Store accounts affected

They have issued a statement claiming that a small number of accounts could have had their passwords altered by unauthorised access. This would leave personal user data and their Store wallet vulnerable to the intruder.

They are quick to point out that no complete records of credit card numbers are held on the Store, so fraud is "very unlikely." How reassuring.

ELSPA releases statement in regards to the Bryon Review

ELSPA, the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association, have issued a statement in regards to the latest reports from the Bryon Review. The ELSPA welcome the findings of the review and feels that it lays out an important framework to deliver a better understanding of how to protect children on-line and when playing video games.

Tanya Byron, a TV child psychologist, was enlisted by the Prime Minister to conduct The Byron Review last year.

She fully recommends the games industry in the UK be subject to a fixed single system with a set of recognisable symbols, similar to what the BBFC employs for film.

Telltale Games reveals Sam and Max Season Two finale

Telltale has today revealed the first details for the Sam & Max Season Two finale. The episode, entitled What's New, Beelzebub?, will debut Thursday, April 10 for subscribers of GameTap. Its worldwide release will follow one day later, on Friday, April 11, from Telltale's website.

The board at Take-Two have rattled their briefcases and pens in disapproval once again at EA's offering of $26 a share. They say they'll explore more options after the release of Grand Theft Auto IV, a pivotal release for the company and one that EA wanted.

Take-Two says to "Not Tender Shares at $26 a Share" to their stockholders, not to feel pressure from EA's deadline tactic.

Irrgheist Games developing two new racers for the PC

Irrgheist Games, developers of H-Craft Championship, has revealed that it is currently working on two projects for the PC. Both are racing themed games, but the first one appears to be a futuristic Street racing game named Sci-Fi City, whilst the second one is a Sci-Fi Rally game that will feature volcano-mountains and snowy woods.
