Polyphony Digital's Kazunori Yamauchi, in an interview with IGN, has said there are "no plans in the works for GT5 yet" - nodding to 2009, or even 2010.
Instead they remain "focused" on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and getting the updates out. Later this year damage modelling is expected to get patched in. | |

Capcom has revealed that it will not be cutting down on the amount of gore that will be present in Resident Evil 5 as an attempt to get a lower age certification. "We’re never going to create a gore-free Resident Evil title to try and get a lower rating as it's a game about the horror experience and gore is part of that," commented Rhys Cash, Capcom UK's research and planning manager. | |

Microsoft have announced that developers using the XNA tools can set the price point they'd like between 200 and 800 points on XBLA.
Size restrictions are based on the price point; the games can range from 50 to 150 MB. The developers will receive 70% of the revenue as Microsoft deduct a "promotional fee". | |

Capcom announced today that it's currently working on releasing a patch for the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta on Xbox Live. Capcom mentioned that the patch will have several fixes for the open beta, but the overall experience in the beta will be vastly improved. More details on the changes will be released soon. | |

Electronic Arts confirmed that it will be releasing a demo for FaceBreaker, which will be appearing on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace on July 31st, 2008. The demo contains several features from the main game, such as a Practice mode to test your skills, and the highly talked about Game Face technology, which allows gamers to paste their own face on to of the available characters in the demo. | |

THQ and GameTap have signed a deal that will see an array of THQ games appearing on the digital download distribution service. The current list of games that are confirmed to be appearing on the service are GSC Gameworld's S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobly, Relic Entertainment's Company of Heroes, Gas Powered Games' Supreme Commander and Iron Lore Entertainment's Titan Quest. Even more titles are expected to be confirmed soon. | |

Capcom is to release 1942: Joint Strike onto the Xbox Live Arcade today, which will cost you 800 MS Points. 1942: Joint Strike takes inspiration and influence from the ‘80s 194X’s series of Capcom vertical arcade shooters. The art, sound and gameplay give the player hints of the 194X series, but will standout as it’s own unique entry. Gameplay will essentially be 2D, but the game will utilize a fully 3D engine. | |
