Microsoft talks to the world: PC gaming is looking up

In an open letter to the world, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of LIVE, Software and services John Schappert has told consumers that things are looking up for PC gaming.

He claimed that Microsoft had helped make the PC gaming platform the “largest gaming platform in the world.”

Empire Interactive today announced the release date for arcade racer FlatOut Ultimate Carnage. It's coming on 11th July, 2008 for the PC.

BBC spills beans on "whole new version" of Driver, Ubisoft quiet

The UK's BBC conducted a little video poke around at Ubisoft Reflections in Newcastle, where they report the team is "working on a whole new version" of Driver.

A later clip centred around the UK industry struggling from oversea tax breaks reiterates the studio is working on "the latest version of a popular driving game".

Whilst at an investors meeting John Riccitiello confessed to "torturing" the team behind the NFS franchise which led to the "not good" NFS: Pro Street.

The team has been split in two to ease the cycle load, something he feels will help them "get better from here."

Someone really opened up the flood gates with the Intellisponse leak, now Forza 3 is the latest exposed to the ruthless web communities.

The overview included plans for over 100 tracks and over 400 cars with "near limitless" customisation and various race modes - outlined as a two-disc affair.

Race Driver Grid Patch 1.1 Released

Codemasters have released the first patch for Race Driver Grid which brings the game to version 1.1 However please note that this version of the patch only works with the PC-DVD version of the game and not if you have downloaded the game from Steam, Metaboli or Direct2Drive. Patches for the downloaded version of the game should be available "within days".
