Spike TV has sent us a press release that contains information on how it'll be teaming up with GameTrailers.com to present “E3 invasion,” providing viewers with live coverage for the biggest announcements. But, more importantly, buried within the press release, was mention of a special announcement from id software and Raven Software.

Just as we expected, 3D Realms long-awaited first-person-shooter, Duke Nukem Forever, won't be making an appearance at this years E3.

I'm sure many of you would have been interested in seeing a bit more about this, but to be honest a lot of us are probably thinking that we'll never actually get to see this game.

In an open letter to the world, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of LIVE, Software and services John Schappert has told consumers that things are looking up for PC gaming.

He claimed that Microsoft had helped make the PC gaming platform the “largest gaming platform in the world.”

Earlier this month, Epic Games teased Xbox 360 owners with some screenshots of the upcoming port of Unreal Tournament III. They failed to summon any interest. It's extremely unusual for such an event to occur. If we take Epic's track record, (let alone the success of the Unreal Tournament series), their games have been at the forefront of Shooter fans' minds since 1999. The Unreal franchise is a legacy, one that even commands a widely accepted graphics engine. Is the reason simple ignorance or is there something more worrying at work?
