 The free game Voxelstein 3D has been released. This FPS was inspired by the classic Wolfenstein 3D and retains the dated look. Based on the Voxlap engine, the game uses voxels instead of the traditional polygons which aids in making the environment very destructible, among other things. Download Voxelstein 3D 0.101.  Unreal Tournament has always been about the community sticking their noses in and creating the weird, the wonderful and the weirder. "We'll figure it out," proclaims Rein.
Epic Games will even officially release mods for the game if it comes to it but hopes for a way round Microsoft's strict user-generated content policy. | |

 According to Next-Gen, an ex-Activision employee from the recently death knelled Underground studio says Infinity Ward has entered re-negotiations to claim the franchise back. Currently it alternates between Infinity and Treyarch but they'd like to keep their creation much closer to home. | |

 Konami Entertainment revealed additional information on its forthcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots game for the PlayStation 3 which is scheduled to be released across Europe on June 12th. The game will be released on a Blu-ray disc containing both Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the conclusion of Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid saga, and Kojima Productions’ multiplayer-only title Metal Gear Online. | |

 The comic-book based FPS that injected a delicious slice of 'The Darkness' onto Xbox360 and PS3 back in 2007 has been 'winked'. Apparently there is a sequel in the works but its unknown if Starbreeze Studios is behind the demonic outing and Jackie Estacado's return. | |

 While remaining elusive, Rein has confirmed in his own manner that the upcoming Unreal Tournament 3 coming to Xbox360 will feature something "you might want to keep a close eye on."
He also said Gears of War was definitely worth an 8 and that Gears of War 2 should go beyond. | |

 According to the publisher's calculations from NPD software sales numbers, Modern Warfare has sold a whooping nine million since it's November launch.
Infinity Ward have done tremendous work in the eyes of the press and gamers, many don't seem that surprised their game has sold so many so quickly. | |
