Atari has issued a statement to Gamesindustry.biz about the recent reviews of Alone in the Dark. The company said that it's happy with UK reviews of AITD, but refused to comment when asked about the legal rumours that have started appearing on the web.

"We're happy with the review scores in the UK," a spokesperson explained. "We believe the game speaks for itself."

These Limbo of the lost stories aren't ending yet, as the composer behind the Adventure game has registered on a gaming forum and issued a statement regarding his music role. Marko Hautamäki claims that he wasn't involved in the theft.

Codemasters Online have announced a Fathers Day virtual event taking place across Middle-earth in The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar.

Taking place on June 15th, Codemasters Online will be running a series of in-game Father’s Day events designed to celebrate this special occasion including father and sons fishing, music and fireworks as well as ad hoc competitions and challenges taking place throughout the day. Fathers are invited to attend these events with their sons and daughters and take part in the online festivities with the thousands of other players in Middle-earth.

Tri Synergy has issued a statement regarding the recent comparisons of level design and artwork between Majestic Studios’ Limbo of the Lost and Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

This one could turn into quite a bit of trouble, but Majestic Studios title Limbo of the Lost has been reviewed by gaming site GamePlasma, and they claim that it has stolen some of the level design structures from The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

Flagship audio and gameplay programmer Guy Somberg has published a new update on his blog which publicly admits the on-going problems with Hellgate, it appears programmers, accountants, artists and HR people have started to leave the team. It doesn't end there either.

Atari announced today that development of Alone in the Dark is now complete and is ready to start shipping to Europe on 20th June and 24th June in North America. It'll be released on the Xbox 360, PC, Wii and PS2 with a PS3 version coming in autumn.
