| Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 review | |
| Posted: 22.02.2008 10:26 by Mark | |
The Medal of Honor series just doesn't want to end. The somewhat over-crowded World War II shooter genre has just about seen it all, with ubiquitous competent titles. Most of the games in the Medal of Honor series are included in these competent titles, spanning all platforms. The series had it's first entry in 1999, so nearly ten years is plenty of time for refinement. Enter Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, played by Mike Jennings, does this game add another notch of success to the series? The platform is somewhat limited, does that prove too much of a burden? The author shares his opinion. Read the Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 review.
| GDC: PSP Store to be on the PSP, finally | |
| Posted: 20.02.2008 19:35 by James | |
PSP owners, had enough of using your computer or, more recently, your PS3 to transfer demos, videos and music to your PSP? Is untangling that meter-long USB cable really hurting your hands, leaving them blistered and useless for weeks at a time? Your worries will be over soon! At GDC today, almost as an offhand note, you'll be able to download anything off the PlayStation store to your PSP from any wi-fi connection! That means less hospital bills and less money spent on bandages. Btw, I really do love the PS3. Just get me Resistance two and I'll stop complaining.
| Big media companies to end licensing, bring game development in-house | |

The general idea about games based on movies is that they suck. Simply put, they are almost always poorly rated and just low-quality titles. That isn't for no reason, of course. Game developers and publishers who make these games are usually on serious time restraints that force them to pump out a game by the movie's release date.
| GDC: Indie developers discuss what makes games | |
| Posted: 18.02.2008 23:14 by James | |
It's difficult to say what defines a game. Obviously, there are lots of different factors, and at GDC this morning there was a conference with three developers who were discussing just that. What they talk about is actually very, very deep, considering things like the psychology behind gaming, what makes games fun, and what people want out of games these days. Headed by the main developers for flOw and Everyday Shooter, and one other indie developer, this is one of the few things about the gaming industry that makes people who work in it proud to do what they do. via Destructoid

| Jackass: The Game review | |
| Posted: 13.02.2008 09:59 by Mark | |
The television series Jackass may have been canceled but it's popularity doesn't seem to have suffered too much, as evident by the continual release of films and now a video game. Indifference doesn't seem to be a popular opinion with regard to the series; most people like it or dislike it. So what of the game? Mike Jennings shares his objective evaluation. Matt Keller played Alien vs Predator: Requiem for the PSP. The original movie marketing spin-off proved to be a pretty popular game (for the PC), with a relatively solid community to this day. Created by the same development company, what does the author think about how this game turned out? Read the review and see. Read the Alien vs Predator: Requiem review.
