Speaking during Microsoft, Don Mattrick revealed some of the current sales figures for the Xbox 360 console. According to him, North American sales of the 360 have reached 10.3 million, pushing the machine over 5 million units ahead of the PS3. In all of the who-ha created by Yoichi Wada’s FF XIII announcement, it can be easy to forget that he actually stood up on stage for a good 10 minutes before that telling us about the other RPG’s Square are working on. Nothing new in terms of gameplay or features, but each of the three up-coming ‘JRPGS’ were given release dates. | |

Yoichi Wada dropped a bombshell during the closing stages of the Microsoft Keynote speech: Final Fantasy XIII is coming to the Xbox 360. Whilst it is still being released on the Playstation 3, a 360 version is now defiantly in production. Long live Square Enix! | |

During Microsoft's E3 2008 Press Conference, it was revealed that Lips, the Karaoke/dancing game from Elite Beat Agents developer iNiS is in development exclusively to the Xbox 360. Shane Kim promises that it will bring “A brand new party game experience," and will ship this fall, bundled with a pair of light-equipped, motion sensing wireless microphones. The game will also allow gamers to import their own songs from a Zune or iPod. | |

Following our string of live updates, we give you Microsoft’s announcement of a new interface coming this Autumn for all 360 users. Dubbed the “new xbox live experience”, this new interface will be modelled along similar lines as the expected PS3 ‘Home’ system. The new interface will include ‘Avatars’ (more realistic looking Mii’s), video and picture sharing, along with a load more community based options. | |

Microsoft announced during its E3 2008 Press Conference that it has signed an exclusive deal with Netflix that will see its service featured on Xbox Live. Users will be able to watch films with other friends, as long as they are signed up to the service. No extra cost will be required. | |

During a live demonstration of Gears of War 2 at E3 2008, Microsoft announced that it'll be released on 7th November, 2008. A new mode called “Horde” has also been revealed, which allows gamers to play with five players in a co-op mode against an onslaught of Locusts. Expect more details on Gears of War 2 soon. | |

During a Fable 2 demonstration at E3 2008, game designer Peter Molyneux confirmed that the RPG is now complete, and will be available at retail in October. Monlyneux also confirmed that Fable 2 will feature an online cooperative multiplayer mode over Xbox Live, accessible at any point during the story mode. A specific date is expected to be revealed soon. | |
