From the noggin of Activison's Robert Kotick it looks very likely that Blizzard's highly anticipated revival of the classic and cult RTS franchise will be jumping on the advertising bandwagon, with hopes it will be a landmark success for future endeavours of the business model.

Blizzard is soon to be merged with Activision becoming Activision Blizzard.

Maxis have already showcased The Sims 3 in a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) event with press, the blockade is said to end on March 19.

Wasting no time to rally the Sim communities around their latest expansion-spawner 'The Sims 3' website has launched promising more once the March embargo is lifted.

NCsoft Heaves Out Dungeon Runners Content Update

NCSoft announced that the Dungeon Runners team are currently working on a new content update that includes snowmen, a new dungeon, new items and improvements to the waypoint system.

Demiurge Studios co-developing BioWare's Mass Effect for PC

An independent developer, Demiurge Studios has been working alongside BioWare since before the Xbox360 launch of Mass Effect. They've been working hard to optimise the game for the PC and both studios were not content with simply porting it over.

A new and better inventory system is a major enhancement over its console counterpart, along with better visuals and a new mini-game. It's unclear though whether the PC version will include the upcoming downloadable content "Bring Down the Sky" available March 10.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn Of War - Soulstorm launches on Steam

Valve announced this morning that Dawn of War – Soulstorm is now available on Steam for just $39.95. It's only currently available to North American residents, but will be made available to other territories this Friday, march 7th.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has Clear Sky, all pun intended

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky has just been given the go ahead for a general release time frame, August this year. That means you'll get to sneak around, spying and killing people in no time at all.

It'll also (undoubtedly, but not actually confirmed) be slated for simultaneous release on steam, for those of you with hard drives that could store entire galaxies within them.

Space Hulk remake runs into legal problems

We reported a few weeks ago that Teardown were developing a Space Hulk video game based on the 1989 board game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. As we expected, this project has ran into legal problems with Games Workshop and has been closed down until the situation can be resolved.

SimCity Societies Patch released

Tilted Mill Entertainment released the third patch for SimCity Societies today. It weighs in at 68MB's, is cumulative and includes a variety of UI and performance enhancements. It also adds in a new feature - a UFO attack disaster.
