THQ and GameTap have signed a deal that will see an array of THQ games appearing on the digital download distribution service. The current list of games that are confirmed to be appearing on the service are GSC Gameworld's S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobly, Relic Entertainment's Company of Heroes, Gas Powered Games' Supreme Commander and Iron Lore Entertainment's Titan Quest. Even more titles are expected to be confirmed soon. | |

Capcom is to release 1942: Joint Strike onto the Xbox Live Arcade today, which will cost you 800 MS Points. 1942: Joint Strike takes inspiration and influence from the ‘80s 194X’s series of Capcom vertical arcade shooters. The art, sound and gameplay give the player hints of the 194X series, but will standout as it’s own unique entry. Gameplay will essentially be 2D, but the game will utilize a fully 3D engine. | |

Microsoft announced tonight that its Games for Windows service will have its very own online games marketplace this fall, sounding similar to that of the Xbox 360's marketplace. The Games for Windows Live platform will now be free to developers and publishers looking to add PC multiplayer features to its games. | |

Deep Silver announced today that The Humans, a puzzle game, for the PC and Nintendo DS is currently in development and is expected to be released in Q4 2008. Once upon a prehistoric time: the player's mission is to guide The Humans to help them solve the quests that they are set at the beginning of each of the puzzle festooned levels. To do this, the people must all pull together; the player must plan ahead carefully. Assign tasks to The Humans in your tribe. Guide The Humans using strategy and guile in order to avoid the deadly hazards and co-inhabitants of The Humans world. Add to the perils a race against the clock and this imaginative puzzle game will entertain and bemuse the strategist in the player. | |

During E3 Microsoft announced a reduction in price for their 20GB SKU and unveiled a new 60GB model unit will be hitting the stores with an RRP of $349.
