The actual news of this merger was announced months ago but now that the EU has not raised any objections the deal can proceed.

Quake Live, previously known as Quake Zero, is a free-to-play web browser based online shooter of the cult franchise.
The developer is offering beta invitations to any who want in on the multiplayer action, which is based off Quake III Arena. Not all entries will be accepted though so be quick. | |

Pirates of the Burning Sea hasn't been available for too long, 3 months to be exact, but Flying Lab are already planning to downsize the amount of servers available to four from the eleven public servers that were available. This move is being made to consolidate the POTBS fanbase, so in other words there aren't as many subscribers as the developers originally expected. | |

Brad Wardell of Stardock says "that'd be a success" if a game hits the one hundred-thousand sale target, for their own team anyways.
He'd also love to work on a Baldur's Gate or Ultima V style RPG if they had the time and budget saying "I think there's still a market." | |
