In a recent interview with Eurogamer.de, Dead Space producer Glen Schofield revealed that the company plans to develop sequels for the sci-fi FPS once the first edition is released this autumn. Schofield said; “I'd love for this to become a well established franchise; we've created a huge and rich back story and universe, so other games could easily be made." | |

| French magazine reveals Alone in the Dark Release Date | |

The French Newspaper, Les Echos, has an exclusive interview with Patrick Leleu where they talk about Alone in the Dark which is set to be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii and PS2. In this interview Leleu reveals that Alone in the Dark will be released in May, giving it a different release date shown on Nintendo's recent American release date list. | |

Gamers Gate announced today that they've entered an agreement that will see an extensive PC digital distribution partnership with publisher THQ, allowing the company to offer several of THQ's titles for download at a set price. This agreement will allow worldwide access, excluding Australia and New Zealand, to Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts and Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance as well as the original titles Company of Heroes and Supreme Commander. | |

The Advertising Standards Authority has banned a TV spot for Stranglehold, Midway's action game, and it can't be shown again until the clip has been edited to remove the content that is considered unsuitable for young children. The advert which contains a shoot-out from the game has caused two complaints, the first one didn't think it was “acceptable for transmission before 9pm, when young children were likely to see it." and the second complainer said that it shows “glorified violence and gun crime and that it was a dangerous incitement to susceptible people". | |

A 61 year-old man from North Ayreshire who sold copied games, films and music to trawlermen returning to Troon Harbour, South Ayrshire after an extended fishing trip in exchange for a box of crabs has been fined £3,000. On 5th November 2007, George Clarke pleaded guility to ’specimen’ charges present to him by Ayr Sheriff Court pertaining to the illegal sale of copied games, music and films. | |
