The Advertising Standards Authority has banned a TV spot for Stranglehold, Midway's action game, and it can't be shown again until the clip has been edited to remove the content that is considered unsuitable for young children.

The advert which contains a shoot-out from the game has caused two complaints, the first one didn't think it was “acceptable for transmission before 9pm, when young children were likely to see it." and the second complainer said that it shows “glorified violence and gun crime and that it was a dangerous incitement to susceptible people".

Red Mile Interactive are currently developing a game based on Sin City. The developer recently informed MCV that the title would be released in early 2009, giving us a release date to look forward to.

We haven't heard anything about platforms yet, but we presume that it'll be released on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 along with a Wii version. Frank Miller will also be heavily involved with the development of the game, making sure it sticks close to the comics, which we're pleased about.
