Project 'RedLime' to revive one of EA's "classic franchises"

The precise details of the project will be unveiled at a later date and is being published through the EA Partners label, which helps independent studios get access to a global market.

Starbreeze Studios, developer of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and The Darkness, is working away to deliver this 'RedLime' to the PC and next-gen consoles.

PSP owners, had enough of using your computer or, more recently, your PS3 to transfer demos, videos and music to your PSP? Is untangling that meter-long USB cable really hurting your hands, leaving them blistered and useless for weeks at a time? Your worries will be over soon!

At GDC today, almost as an offhand note, you'll be able to download anything off the PlayStation store to your PSP from any wi-fi connection! That means less hospital bills and less money spent on bandages.

Btw, I really do love the PS3. Just get me Resistance two and I'll stop complaining.

GDC may have been going on for a few days now, but today was the big day for Microsoft to drop their bombshell on the world. Not one, but four major blockbuster titles were announced for release this coming year.

A demo of Spaceforce Captains has been released. This turn-based strategy game, developed by Provox Games, "invites you to explore and conquer an entirely new space". Game play features include strategy, resource gathering and role-playing.

Turbine and Tolkien extend relationship

Turbine announced today that it has reached an agreement with Tolkien Enterprises to extend its license to develop MMORPG based on The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings to 2014 with additional options to extend the rights to 2017. Notice that it mentions The Hobbit, could Turbine be developing a MMORPG based on this?

Capcom ships over two million units of Devil May Cry 4

Capcom announced today that Devil May Cry 4, the latest installment in the Devil May Cry series, has shipped over two million units since its launch on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version is planned to be released within the next couple of months.

Quake Live is a browser based reiteration of the classic multiplayer shooter from id Software. This version will be supported by IGA so in exchange for adverts avid Quake fans get to blast each other’s pixel-innards for the glory of stats tracking, matchmaking, sponsored events, tournaments and of course the trade of tasteful boasting between chums.
