Will Wright recently made a statement during his visit to Comedy Central's show, The Colbert Report which gave word that Spore is on course for its second half of 2007 release.
Will said that the game is now ready to be shown and can be played by people which aren’t part of the development team. Spore is also expected to reach the Alpha stage by spring.
Expect more details to be released by EA shortly; I’m sure we’ll be seeing more screenshots and maybe some trailers very soon.
