This Camp is for lovers of music in games, movies or music generally.

The top 10 songs the web and video games have brought back. U-Tube, Guitar Hero, iTunes, you name it, they are all contributing to the resurgennce of old long-forgotten hits. Games are great at bringing back old themes and atmosphere (BioShock and Fallout 3 bring the '50s alive again). Music is no exception: anything from a '70s rock anthem to a '90s one-hit wonder can be given new life if the YouTube hordes get their hands on it.
The complication is

What Was/ Is Your Favourite Band at 17! Do you remember the first time you ever heard your favourite band? Do you remember smiling, singing along, shaking your rump or cuddling with your loved one while listening to their albums? Do you remember the energetic rhythms, sultry love songs, feel-good vibes and lyrics that were intelligent, positive and uplifting? Or the smashing, stirring chords of the heaviest band in the land? Do you

The ensemble for Nicholas Hooper in The Half-Blood Prince carries over from the previous score, but a more significant role for light choir is an important addition. Thematically, the composer references his own ideas from the previous score and two elements from Williams' work (an improvement, but barely). Once again, Doyle's efforts to musically define Harry and Voldemort are dismissed by

"Rise Of The Argonauts" - Game Soundtrack Review.

I won a t-shirt, keychain and XBox coverplate for the game here at SI but never got around to playing the game until recently (as I don't have a XB 360). What I heard was quite good and deserved a quick review.
The theme track "Rise of the Argonauts" is truly epic. Pure atmosphere! "Broken Union" is appeasing and heady at the same time. A beautiful clear voice mixed with heavy drums. Reminds me

Music in games... What's your favorite? Music is an important part of any entertainment experience. Would Jaws be as creepy without those heart-pounding orchestral notes? Would F.E.A.R. be as scary if I replaced its ambient music with Nickelback or Slipknot? Would HALO kick as much @$$ without those wicked guitar chords leading you on?
The answer for these questions is simple: no. No, no, no. So, I ask you, The Highest Score!

Liked the movie, loved the music. Can Hans Zimmer repeat, or better his effort on the first film? In short, if you adore Zimmer's masculine choral bombast and propulsive bass ostinatos on pulsating strings or synthesizers, then Angels & Demons is the score for you. Its menacing choral chanting is its most memorable addition to the franchise, for it really doesn't convincingly explore new

The Ultimate Rock Band. Fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, Halo, CoD or any movie/ game? Who do you think of the main characters would look best in a rock band? Me, I pick Star Wars. Darth Vader would match Gene Simmons as an evil bass guitarist any day of the week, and Leia on vocals....Fleetwood Mac eat your heart out!
