Hey guys, so how are you enjoying Gears of War 3? Wait, you don't have it yet? Well, never fear! Having anticipated your need, we've got an extra special prize for you today. We've teamed up with Calibur 11, the guys who back those bitchin' case mods, and we've secured a super-special-awesome bundle for one lucky reader:

The Prize

1 x Promotional Copy of Gears of War 3 (includes manual)
1 x THIS BAD BOY (Click me)

(Note, this is a 360 case mod, since Gears is a 360-exclusive)

The Competition

Step One: Post below saying "I'm in" (make sure you meet the requirements in 'Rules').

Step Two: Go post and comment around the site, show activity and show that you care about us, because really we only do these things to buy your love and adoration.

Step Three: When the time is up, the most active person will be emailed a question, and they have 24 hours to get it right. If they don't, they forfeit and the next person down the line will be chosen, and so on... until a winner is found.

Step Four: Profit.

The Rules

* EU Only

* Must be SI Newbie or above to enter.

* Because the last competition had so few entrants, and those that did enter simply won by default, we're waiving the "two-in-a-row" rule. However, if you win this one, you will be excluded from the next one.

* The competition will end on Tuesday 27th September.

Trying something new this time, since it's such a nice prize. If you don't think it's working let me know and we can just revert back to how we usually do it. Again, US guys about the exclusion, we'll get something good for you next time. Good luck!

Hmm.... Good luck to those who enter, though I sure hope we don't have the same problem as last time (too few entrants). But GoW3 should be more than enough incentive to attract some UK gamers to the site ;)

Fixed :)

It actually comes in several peices, the black skull being one of them, so you could theoretically just not assemble that part if you don't like it. I'm sure it would still look fine.

A bit suprised here as well, GoW is s huge franchise one would expect a crowd. If i had an xbox i might enter as well.

Maybe it's the format of the competition to blame? One person who posts the most wins. Not very encouraging if you're not a regular on the site, i never joined a single site for a competition of this nature. If instead it was changed to: one of the top X posters will be randomly picked, then that would lower the entry bar considerably. With the X maybe varying with the number of prizes.

I understand the prize is too big for just the regular "I'm in" to be sufficient this time but if the goal is to bring people in maybe the "spam king" type of a contest is not the most efficient one? Just a thought.

Just a bit of clarification, what do you mean by "promotional copy"? Is it any different to a retail copy, or just your wording?

It's the same full retail game just with a "promotional copy" banner over the cover - usually without manual?? Means you won't be able to trade it off after you're done with it.

The inclusion of a manual differs from publisher to publisher - this one DOES have a manual - but yes, the only difference is that it as "Promotional" plastered all over it.

Thank you guys - I have to admit that I have had my doubts from the beginning - the Game yes could be nice - first GoW was the reason that I bought a Xbox360... the case-mod - well tell you what - I promise to post pictures and maybe a youtube clip should I try to make that on the TV table ;)
