COMPETITION: A Game of Sequels

Competition is closed! The winners are: - herodotus - nocutius - Caedes - garry_profilin - Praetor What did you think of that last competition, eh? Pretty sweet right? No way in hell we could top th- OH WAIT WE JUST HAVE. Sorry, I think I’ve had too much sugar today - anyway, this time we've teamed up with our old buddies Paradox Interactive to bring you not one, but TWO games to win. It's been a game of sequels so far for the lovable Swedish firm, with the year starting off with King Arthur II, followed closely by Crusader Kings II. We've got give Steam codes for each, and so we've paired them up for a double whammy giveaway for you fine folk. The Prizes Five sets, each containing one Steam copy of Crusader Kings II, and one Steam copy of King Arthur II. The Task Step One: Profit. Step Two: Dance Wait… I think I’ve got that wrong... Anyway: It’s sweepstake time! Simply post below saying “I’m in” and at the end of the competition period we'll choose five of you at random. Make no mistake though - we're not really great fans of hit-and-run entrants here. If you sign up just for this competition, fair enough... but at least have a look around over the next couple of weeks. Maybe post some comments here and there... you never know, you may end up liking it here. Rules * This competition is open to everyone (except for you Herodotus). * Only one entry per person. * If you won the last competition, you can't enter into this one. * Competition will close in two weeks on Thursday March 15th. Sure, I lurve me a good Paradox game. I tried the CK2 Demo and found it extremely complicated but I had the same thing with the Vic2 Demo and I loved the full game so...

The first edition of this game was my first experiance with the Paradox games in 2005.
Loved that game. Especially the hunt for the "best"bride.
The Deus Vult expension did make live easier.

Herodotus, I was busy trying to quit gaming for a bit cause it just takes too much time away from a person. It's not a complete waste of time but there some games that are just way too meaningless that I would have probably played.

But I'm back , I dont game as much but I play a bit of Spore and UT2004 atm while I wait for my bro to borrow ME2 from a friend so I can finish it on the PS3 and get me a save. ( my PC here is Sux sooo PS3 it is )
then i will finish ME3 and replay it ofcourse :D:D:D:D

I go through those periods too, Bone. Then a game comes along that "grabs" me, and quite surprisingly so. At the moment it is "TOR", but there will come a time wen a break will be needed. Then of course RL steps in, and gaming drops in priority. However, it is never far away and like Malaria always comes back (well, better than Herpes:p).

Yeah we don't do competitions often cause there is little effect of them. Some people do decide to stay longer but that is not the case enough times. But oh well, what can we do. Well, we could only count people with avatars. It would actually be great to only count members with avatars at least, but we probably can't do that legally if we didn't specified that in competition description. And if we do specify it in advanced, it kind of beats the purpose.

Hm yeah, well, we are going to do a redesign of the layout of our user admin pages. We're slowly moving into wide format for some pages. We will be bringing more wide format layouts along with some really really ground breaking features, soon.

It's a "lucky dip" anyway. I really want CK2, but I would still play King Arthur II.. BECAUSE it's a type of game I wouldn't usually play, so this would be an opportunity to do something different, and maybe learn from it.
I find that if you play the same sort of games constantly, it gets very boring after a while. We all need to "spread our wings" a little..

It's all in the Hands of Fate now anyway.

Away for a day and what I've missed.
What you do in the privacy of your own trousers is your business (and you're a fool if you think that piracy gets you a free game, no strings attached). Your PC will be squirming with undesirable trackers, trojans and all the other good stuff these troublesome pirates allow into their torrents.
Anyway, under Admin rules comments advocating piracy of any media should be deleted, and without attempting to sound moralistic or judgemental these comments are as illegal as the content of them. This is not stamping on anyone's right to freedom of expression, it is simply against the rules of this site, hell ANY site to allow the promotion of piracy - period.
Now, back to the comp....

Well, as an official site dedicated to gaming, not having a solid anti-piracy clause somewhere would most likely make it less likely to have these competitions since many wouldn't want to sponsor piracy indulging sites...
There have been and I believe there still will be arguments and discussions regarding piracy - but on a level where the piracy as a phenomenon is more discussed than regarding your own actions.
