It's been two weeks, and we're finally ready to announce the winners. We'll start with the ArmA II Combined Operations prizes. As a recap, here are the questions along with their answers: 1/ ARMA & ARMA II are considered the spiritual successors of which videogame series? It was Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, although we will accept simply Operation Flashpoint as an answer as well. 2/ Who publishes ARMA II in Russia? The answer is Akella, who are also behind the recently released Disciples III game. A bit of a random question, but easily found out by consulting Wikipedia. 3/ Who reviewed the original ARMA game for Strategy Informer? This was a trick question. The original ArmA: Armed Assault game (Known as ArmA: Combat Operations in North America and our database) wasn't actually reviewed by anyone. Not sure why, but there you go. So there are the answers. Out of those who participated, we used a random selection sequence and are proud to announce the following winners: stuntkid noobster Raviel Congratulations guys! Well done! You'll be receiving a PM from me shortly. Now, onto the bundle: As you'll remember this was for a copy of both Armada 2526, and King Arthur: The Role Playing Wargame. There were no hoops to jump through for this one, so we are equally pleased to announce the following winners: bosnian_dragon Cryptex Bonearc Congratulations to you guys as well! You'll also be getting a PM from me. They say Red Bull gives you wings, but what about Liberty? ----------------------------------------- It's that time again folks - competition time! It's been a long time coming, but we have some more prizes to give away to you lovely people. Partnering with Iceberg Interactive, 505 Games and Paradox Interactive, we have a whole bunch of goodies to give away. Five lucky winners will each get a copy of Armada 2526 and King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame in a nice little bundle. We also have five extra additional copies of King Arthur to give away, as well as three copies of ARMA II: Combined Operations which contains both ARMAII and the recently released expansion - Operation: Arrowhead. This competition will be in three parts: one for the five bundles, one for the other for the extra copies of King Arthur, and a final trivia section for ARMA II. Readers can only win one copy of each game, so you may participate in the Bundle OR the Arthur section on its own, and then in addition the ARMA II section if you wish. Note: Competition is for European readers only. Staff are excluded from participating. The Bundle The deal is this: Only people that contribute to the community will be rewarded, and those that end up being the most active will claim the above mentioned prizes. So what does this mean? It means that you will need to register, if you haven't already, and start posting comments around the main pages of Strategy Informer. For example; the news, reviews, interviews, and preview pages. So check back on our main page for new stuff and post comments on anything that might interest you, it's that easy! Comments must be good quality, and not spam or one word responses. If your comments are good enough with both quantity and quality, you stand a high chance of being selected. To participate in this sectiont, please post a comment below along the lines of "I'm in" so we can track your comments! King Arthur For the extra copies of King Arhtur, you will still need to be registered, but this one won't revolve around comments. From today until the end of the competition, we shall ask five different questions that will be buried within five different news posts. First person to send me (JustCommunication) a PRIVATE MESSAGE over the site's messaging service will win. These will be quick-fire questions connected to the site and/or gaming, and may require a little bit of digging. The winner of each round will be replied to, so if you don't hear from me, you weren't first. ARMA II: Combined Arms For the three copies of ARMA II: Combined Arms, we have these three trivia questions: 1/ ARMA & ARMA II are considered the spiritual successors of which videogame series? 2/ Who publishes ARMA II in Russia? 3/ Who reviewed the original ARMA game for Strategy Informer? In order to participate in this section, you must chose one question to answer, and then either tag it at the end of your comment below if you're participating in 'The Bundle' or just a stand alone comment if not. Winners will be chosen at random a la the Bundle section. ------------ If there are any problems, or you're not sure on what to do, feel free to send me an email directly at Joe (at) strategyinformer (dot) com Good luck! This competition will end one July 27th. | |
