The competition is now over! My, that week went fast didn't it? Well, I'm sure you're all eager to find out who the winner is, so we won't beat about the bush. Here's what we did. There were 36 of you, so we took those names, assigned each one a number and then went to a random number generator site (this one, if you're interested) and took the first number it gave us. So, without further ado, the winner is... VHugoSama! Congratulations! You'll be contacted shortly with details on how to claim your prize. To the rest of you - never mind! There's always next time. Not sure when we'll get another prize as big as a console again, but we do want to try and keep the prizes flowing one way or another. To any new people that joined us, we hope you decide to stick around. To the vets - they'll definitely be a next time for you guys, so thanks for your continuing support. It really does mean a lot to us. Any questions/comments/etc... you know where to find me. --------------------------------------------- I know I know - that's what we said last time. Have no fear though, the prizes are firmly in our hands this time around, so nothing short of Jamie's house being carpet bombed into the ground will stop us sending these out. So, what have we got for you this week? Well, those of you who pay attention to the forum will see that I've been dropping hints pretty much since the Starcraft II thing, so without further ado, I present to you.... A Limited Edition Halo Wars Xbox 360 Console! Wait, what? An old style Xbox 360 console for a game that was out a few years ago? Seriously? Yes Whilst we here at Strategy Informer always strive to keep up with the latest and greatest releases, sometimes that's just not possible. Microsoft had one of these baby's left, and they offered it to us, so we took it. I mean it IS a limited edition after all, not available at retail so we felt it was worth a competition. But you know, we always want to do right by our readers as well. Along with the console, we're also giving away a copy of the recently released Halo Reach to go with it! Conditions of Entry We're keeping this one very very simple, since there's only one console and one copy of the game to give away. Here's what you need to do: * UK, EU & Australian Residents only*. Simply post a comment below saying 'I'm In'. That's it. * In a week's time, so Tuesday 26th October, we'll enter everyone's name who entered into a hat, and then pick one name at random. We'll then announce the winner here. * PLEASE NOTE: This console was sent from the UK Microsoft PR branch, and so is a UK Xbox 360 console, which means it will have a UK power plug. Mainland Europe entrants will need to buy a power adaptor, but the games will work fine. By entering this contest you accept this and forfeit any right to moan about it afterwards. ** The UK currently uses the PAL system of encoding for its media. Europe and Australia (among other territories) also use PAL, although there is currently a world-wide shift away from PAL to new systems. If you are worried that your games may not work with this console, we recommend that you do not enter. So there you have it. You know the prize, you know what you need to do. You have one week - Get cracking!

You're right BoneArc and we'll keep it in mind for the future.

Past winners shouldn't be penalized for being winners in the past. Winning something doesn't automatically excludes winners from future competitions. However, Wowerine is a special case since he already won a Xbox360 console some months ago. Sorry Wow but got to lean to the other side for this.

Just for extra clarification. Basically, just make sure you country supports PAL. We say the whole of Europe because we don't mind shipping there, but if you think local games won't work, don't enter.

fltatk, your ID is 10672, meaning that you've been at around this place for quite a while. It's great that you've decided to get more involved in the community. Welcome! That transition was always difficult one to achieve. Not many people decide to use keyboard on the site, other then just the mouse.

So glad to see 7ot8ot aboard too and everybody else.

PS: And yeah somebody will have to do a manual count of "I'm in"'s so as many extra message we throw in, the worst job it'll be to count em. And at least on SI you have a good chance of winning on a competition. There aren't like 100,000 applications but rather a few dozen, or hundreds in very special cases. As they say, everything good is bad, and everything bad is good, in some way. Don't take that literally. :)

On that note, not sure if we have anything for the next competition yet. Anybody got something to donate for the next competition? Doesn't need to be computer related. Can be an old t-shirt, sweater, pants or something. We could all use a warm shirt for the winter.
