What's your favourite RTS game?

As you may have imaged when you typed in the URL to come to this site, it has the word "Strategy" in it, and while I know that the site covers a lot more than just strategy games, I'm interested in what people think. So, what is your favourite RTS game? Is it Starcraft? Total Annihilation? Age of Empires (or one of the sequels)? Warcraft?

It's a hard decision for me. Right now it's probably Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, and Dawn of War: Winter Assault. The way that Relic put this game together just seemed to enliven something that was getting to be somewhat staid. But you never know what lies around the corner.

Well Mine was the Command & Conquer series, I really enjoy Warcraft 3, I think it's got the best Multiplayer option for a RTS game thanks to it's custom maps.

But yeah, the C&C Series has always been my fav!

I really enjoyed the original Command & Conquer, and I did play Red Alert, and I think Tiberian Sun. Kind of lost track of the games after that until I picked up Generals in the bargain bin a while back. I did like those games for sure, as they're definitely good.

I also enjoyed Warcraft III, so I have to agree with you there. I just seem to like the sheer carnage of Dawn of War. ;-)

Well I remember how I enjoyed Warcraft 1 over MP. Far away days. In most recent days in RTS theatre I really enjoyed Act of War. High Treason is also great but costs too much for an expansion.

I am hoping that C&C 3 will be a worthy succesor. But as always these says, I am fairly pesimistic.

Yeah, you can never tell what some of these sequels are actually going to be like. C&C 3 does look good, as does Supreme Commander. But how will they actually play? It can be tough, and is a reason why I like to try and play demos before actually shelling out any real money.

well my favorite strategy game is probably starcraft as it is the fisrt game i played on a computer.
after that i guess i like Total Anihhilation and the C&C siries but i neva had the first ones but anyway, they rock, i hope that C&C3 is just as good
if anyone wants to play them all exept C&C3 u can go and get C&C: the fisrt decade to get the fisrt 12 games that they made.
