Hi everyone!
Found this site a while back when looking for information on SW:EAW, and bookmarked it immediately. It's always great to find a place that's well run and provides the information I'm looking for - as well as some great media. And now that I've discovered I can join and get more out of this, it's even better.
I've always been more of a RTS fan than any other sort of game, but I played Castle Wolfenstein when id first brought it out, as well as Doom and Doom2. And while I enjoyed those, it was games like UFO:Enemy Unknown that really took my fancy. So while I do enjoy playing FPS like Halo (on the PC), and HL2, I'm basically a strategy fan at heart. That means a site like Strategy Informer is perfect for me.

I downloaded the high-res version of the Supreme Commander trailer last night, it's a 175Mb file for 3 minutes of footage, and it looks spectacular. I did capture a few screen shots, though they don't really tell the whole story. I put them in my gallery, but due to size limitations they were shrunk. So I uploaded them to photobucket and created a post in the Strategy Booth on the forum with the links in that.
Not sure if URLs work in blogs, I have a feeling they don't, but in case they do, here is the link to the post on the SI forum. (http://www.strategyinformer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3191)

Well if you're in the US, then I just found that Amazon.com has the DVD version available at $16.99, which is $1 cheaper than the discount offered at the Valve online store. Seems like a decent deal, if you're prepared to wait a couple of days for the game to arrive. I am, so that's how I ordered it.
They also have the hint book for $12.99, and an additional 5% off if you buy the game and the guide at the same time, if you need that sort of thing.

As you may have imaged when you typed in the URL to come to this site, it has the word "Strategy" in it, and while I know that the site covers a lot more than just strategy games, I'm interested in what people think. So, what is your favourite RTS game? Is it Starcraft? Total Annihilation? Age of Empires (or one of the sequels)? Warcraft?
It's a hard decision for me. Right now it's probably Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, and Dawn of War: Winter Assault. The way that Relic put this game together just seemed to enliven something that was getting to be somewhat staid. But you never know what lies around the corner.
How about you?

Today I think I've managed to review just about every game I've owned in the last ten years, and there are a lot of them. It's possible that there are a couple more out there which I can dig out of boxes, but if you're interested then I've added something on pretty much every game that is actually in my "collection".
Someone tell me, does game collection imply dust collection? Because that seems to be what I have in a lot of in many instances!
