Back in February, Bethesda vice president Pete Hines delivered a challenge whereby anyone giving birth on November 11th 2011, could be in for an "unknown reward" if they named thir child (or "Spawn" to use his words) "Dovahkiin" (translation: Dragonborn).
Well it's pretty obvious that if you throw down such a ridiculous challenge, the equally ridiculous general public would take it up - and one couple has.
Megan and Eric Kellermeyer have named their son (born on the 11th of the 11th), Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer. When asked why, the mother piped :
"...it is an awesome name.", and admitted that they would have probably named the boy with this moniker, competition or not.
The Prize?
Free Bethesda games for life.
As Bill Shatner would say: "Weird, or what?!".
