Dear and dearest,
We've brought a pack of new stuff for you to enjoy or hate on SI. Do hope it's the first one. ;)
What's new:
1. New header graphic and logo
2. New FEATURING feature that shows the latest hot content across the site that is always filtered by platform and genre. So it means if you're on PC : Shooter game, you will see FEATURING items that are related to that platform and genre.
3. New LATEST RELEASES PAGE:
http://www.strategyinformer.com/all/latest-releases.html
This page shows games that have release date older then current date, to explain it mathematically. Or in more simpler words, it shows released games! With each game, we now got a score, that will be a mix of our score, press scores and your public scores. So we get to know what is released and how well it scored.
4. PRESS SCORES / REVIEWS have been brought up. So rather then ignoring other well deserved sites, we're now going to post their scores and links to their reviews. At the same time we'll have better picture of how well some games are, since we don't often manage to review all the released games, yet.
5. LATEST COMMENTS
http://www.strategyinformer.com/latest-comments.php
It obviously shows latest member comments around the site.
6. NEW MAIN PAGE LAYOUT that does what it did, but in slightly different smell now. We've shrunk news since before it was stretching the whole page as much that it was an overkill. So it is shorter now and gives more hotter stuff.
7. STAFF EDITORIALS will be articles that we will publish occasionally when we get creative. Gives a bit of extra reading material on potentially interesting topics that should push away a bit of boring cuts of a day.
I'd like to apologize for problems that involved this publication. Main page looked bad for a part of the day today. All of that is fixed now.
The problem remaining is the new TOP 10 RELEASED chart on the main page which now shows the most of games, if not all, in 9.9 score. Why is this? Because those are user scores, and mostly made out of just 1-2-3 user votes. We're working on patching that problem and it should be done tomorrow. At which point it will only show games in those charts that either have our review or any press review posted under it. Since let's face it, user scores are far from usable in such lower number since some minority of people lacks discipline!! :)
So we seriously hope that most of you will enjoy what we've brought up and that we'll give you a bit more of enjoyable moments around SI.
Best,
Sort of new SI

One thing I forgot to mention. We also got FILE SEARCH now. So you can search by file name and download name there. It has it's share of problems when searching for exact file name. We will be adjusting this in the coming days.

And there should be a linguistic value (good, bad, so-so, etc.) under crisp value when giving new score, because one gives i.e 6 points and writes that game is "rather bad" but under score in his review is "good"
