Ok so blog readers will be able to check how our site is soon going to look alike. It is not really a whole drastic change, but it is enough to make us behind SI very nervous for going through with it.
So check it out:

1)Your new index page is showing more images than text at the first glance. Images are more appealing than text contents for a new visitor. So it will be a nice move to hold a new visitor to index page and compel him to explore other pages of the site by using images.
2)Reduction of size of the six thumbnails at main game card is right choice. The larger size of thumbnails was consuming index page space.
3) A new visitor always likes to see and explore images from games. It is good options to provide the link from the home page. Increase in the size of the screenshots' thumbnail will make it easily visible to new visitor. If a new visitor gets to it, he will definitely click that link.
4)If you are trying to put links to the latest blogs on the index page, it is right thing to keep it to the bottom because only a regular member will go to the bottom to check it. New visitor is hardly interested in checking blogs.
5) About the reviews page:
According to me, mostly regular members reads the game review carefully. Because they are already playing that game or waiting to purchase it. New visitors may not be seriously reading about the reviews as the regular members. So a lot of modification to the review may not be required. Keep it such that it will facilitate regular members.
6) About the downloads page:
Regular members use this part of the site mostly. It is always better to keep it simple for navigation. I like the way that you have kept it.

But a few things i'd like to say, In the index, The 1st game appears with a screenshot, it would be nice if the 1st 3 appeared, because people are always looking for the Top 3 Games. Down the botton in the index, its just like indianjafar said, it's probably more for the frequent user. Thus the blog and the Games stats. On the reviews i think the text of the review is too cut back, giving more space to the users shouts, if possible and to give more space to it, an expand the shout text, for those who might read it. Giving more space and availabily to the review. Everything else i think its good! The download section, and probably the most used in the site, should be as it is, symple and easy. No one wants to go through Hell to download a patch!
Hope this helps Kres, everyone should comment on this. Give they're thoughts about it. C'mon people!

It'll take one or two weeks to develop this fully. But in the end it always delays. So well... will keep you posted. Ill insist on doing this perfect with each pixel in its place, so might as well delay more. But it's a serious change for SI so let's do it right!
Who ever can throw any comments just go right ahead. Thanks!
Devel I will see what can be done with 3 screens for 3 top games, but from layout aspect it may be impossible to do so. Eh. Will see!
