We recently reported that Funcom, best known for their development of The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, had announced their future plans for multiplayer games only. We decided to get in contact with Product Manager, Terri Perkins to find out more about this move.
Perkins said; “The coverage regarding this in the media has been imprecise at best. Funcom’s current focus is on MMO’s so piracy really isn’t an issue for us at this time. For Dreamfall and subsequent installations, it is just too soon to say how we will proceed with this.
We've also been told not to rule out the possibility of future singleplayer games from Funcom. Expect to see further updates on the production of Dreamfall Chapters soon.
