I joined this site since it looks such a neat community.
I used to play alot of FPS games inc FEAR, which I though was full of potential, but just not as fullfilling as I had hoped. Doom 3 was great at what it set out to be (a closed, cramped & DARK corridor shooter), but Quake 4 was just quake 2 again.
I am now into a few RPGs inc Oblivion which is well worth getting and Guild Wars (GW) just to see what MMO games are like.
GW is well worth the money but it really needs you to have mates to join you in order to get the best out of it.
