Crusader Kings II(PC): Really great, seriously.
Well, maybe fighting with dragons is not implemented (yet) in CK2 but this is my game of the year and it will be hard for other games to dethrone it.
9.0 superb

Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway(PC): good
Game is quite good. Sometimes long cinematics force you to grab a beer and popcorn instead of keybord and mouse but they add some nice story to gameplay. In some areas game feels little thillerous (like in hospital). There are also the time loopbacks... Read More
7.6 great

Spore(PC): for kids and sims maniacs
It's not what I was waiting for since 2005!!! Creator is very user-friendly and entertaining but rest of it (gameplay) is very weak... Good for ones who like create without any deeper purpose, just too impress other kids in the sandbox :)
6.0 alright

Europa Universalis III: In Nomine(PC): Very good game
This extension to EU3 is really great. You can really feel the age of colonization and imperialism in it. It is very stable - in my case no CTD at all! Sea battles are not too good but it will be a domain of Empire TW in 2009, I hope :)
8.0 great

The Settlers: Rise of an Empire(PC): Good
Game is quite good - nice story, beauty graphics and animations, weather seasons. It's too easy, thou. Production process is simplified (i.e. grain goes straight to bakery, there is no mill)-but it not harm gameplay much. Enemy AI is not aggresive and... Read More

Northland(PC): Forgotten one
I think this game is much better than Settlers. Maybe a little too much candy-look :)
7.5 great

Capitalism II(PC): Quite good
Economics is quite nice in this game. There are (and must be) some simplifications (equal salaries to all workers, eternally fresh food). On hard level it is very easy to go bankrupt...
7.5 great

Medieval 2: Total War(PC): Could be better
Ok, I know, great graphics, sounds, lanscapes, castles, etc. but AI is not very challenging.Sieges are dull and I often press autoresolve button to skip them. Diplomacy is slightly better than medieval 1 but still you can be backstabed by your long time... Read More
7.0 good

Railroad Tycoon 3(PC): quite nice game
economics is great in this game, only lack of multiple tracks (2 symbolic tracks isnt enough), trains going through each other and no signal lights is a minus
7.8 great

Company of Heroes(PC):
Hmm I really dont know, guys...Graph is absolutely superb but (after playing demo - lol new size record of packed demo setup - 1,8GB :] ) there are some cons: no limited ammo, flames do not heat tanks (try it with crocodile tank vs german tank), reinforcements... Read More

Rome: Total War(PC):
Battles great and management ok but sieges very boring
8.5 superb

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30(PC):
Nice climate, based on real stories; - fatal aiming, poor AI, better to order team to wait and shoot foes by yourself
6.5 good
| Posted on 09/19/2006 07:18 |
Guild Wars(PC):
Good team play, abundance of skills, good tactical skill system - but only human race, linear story, PvP better than PvE, limited multiplayer combat (Cooperative Online Game not Massively Multiplayer)
8.0 great

Victoria: Revolutions(PC):
Greatest game of XIX-century Earth. There are some simplified features especially in economy model but you can really feel the time of imperial Great Powers of the world and rising of mortal ideologies wich lead to XXc world wars.
9.0 superb
