Murrhhh

When games want direct links to my nervous system to work I will stop playing, probably not before though. Getting into meshmaking and loveing it, not quite there with texture wrapping yet but working on it. This in the round but always presented as a flat image is cool, and art labelling needs to catch up. Slowly games are being recognized for their artistic value as they are continually getting more of it as we demand better visuals and can decide a purchase. but on sequel so many games lose what we loved of the original, playability and enjoyment derived from a game is not decided by texture resolutions and polygon counts, its the playability that counts........Myself I play more hours on the of games of old than of recent. Doom original engine games, quake, command & conquer original engine, total anhihalation, dark reign, blood, duke 3d. I run XP Pro, and some of these titles have problems on it now, fortunately sortable, but its gonna get really hard when I eventually do want more than 3GB of ram, Will deffinetly get a CPU with virtualisation so I can use the compatibility mode of Win7, but will that really cut it.....I'd love it if was just compatible back to amstrad days, I know how unrealistic this is but well....I can always dream.

You can dream, or visit Gog.com (Good Old Games). Plenty of old games re-released cheaply for XP/Vista here.
