Ins`t is amazing?

As I started this day I was given orders to proceed to the Solus sector and do some missions there. First I choosed mission what I thought was easy to perform (to kill enemy patrols on Solus planet). So I took of my carrier and let my autopilot to navigate to the surface of Solus. I arrived there and I didn`t have to drive so long as I would in previous missions. When I arrived to the point where I should see enemy aircraft's I only saw some gun towers and some rocket towers and those gun towers started to shoot at me! I evaded their projectiles with to simple moves (it was like down-up-down-up-down-up). Finally I saw some enemy fighters I wanted to target them but wtf I couldn`t so I got destroyed by them. When I checked the final result and closed it I was granted with Order of Fire for getting destroyed in battle (I wonder why).
Then I chose mission where I was asked to destroy gun towers marked AAA. I went there the same way as previously and I discovered that when I shoot at gun towers gun I can disable them! There was three gun towers all together. I destroyed them successfully! Returned to my carrier and landed!
Day 4 over!!!!

This time I chose as a mission where I had to destroy Frigate named Tomal with fighter and with 3 wing mans (not all of them were actually men but you get me meaning). So I went trough nav point 1 then 10 min later STILL driving towards nav point 2 (it was about 600 km from starting place). I saw big ship and I couldn`t recognise if it was carrier, cruiser or frigate, but I remember that I fought with similar on in tutorial so it was then cruiser. But it wasn`t named Tomal so I ride trough nav point 2 and then I saw Tomal. I locked Tomal, pressed Alt+A and my wing men started killing him (I was still 50 km away of him and missiles can be shot at range 50 km but projectile cannon is effective at range 12 km). So I shot all my missiles of out. These missiles took quarter of frigates hull down my comrades shot all of their missiles too and Tomal was destroyed. But as I was already there I think ed that it would be good idea to take down this ship what I saw earlier. I fly ed toward him, ordered my wing men to attack him I was successful and I realised that in this game I can shoot at guns to disable them or shoot at engines so that it couldn`t move. This battle was successful! By some unfortunate hit one of my wing men had a broken engine so that he/she couldn`t move and inch. I returned to my base landed and discovered strange thing with landing. Thing is that your landing gear doesn`t need to touch landing track in order to land but you MUST ready your landing gear, isn`t it pointless then!!! But what more strange is that two of my fleets cruisers got the honor of destroying the cruiser what I destroyed just for fun! And I got email (not real but in that game) from character Sarah or was it just Sara. And day thee over! Bye!

Now this is day 2 now! Sorry for not writing for so long time!
First I took mission where I had to destroy minefield C! On my way there I was engaged by 5 fighters and I had only one wing man. They managed to hit my engine, so I couldn't move forward nor backward. I shot out all my missiles and ordered my wing man to engage enemies. Enemy fighters killed him but they somehow didn`t notice me! I didn`t want to wait further so I ended mission and accepted results!
Then second mission I chose was patrol. And again I was attacked by four fighters this time and again my engine was damaged. So I ended my mission because with broken engines I cannot patrol.
So I took third mission what was assault and target was harmless freight ship. On my way there again I was attacked by there fighters again. Damm! I was killed by them! What a bad day!

Now the real campaign begins. Named 02.Operation Highland. I don`t know why did it start counting the days from zero, but I will survive this! In this campaign I am the leader of 18th Tactical Fighter Wing under what consists of 5-6 groups in each 2 fighters. As I started this campaign to me was shown video clip what explained current affairs in Solis star system.
Apparently hostile forces have blockaded free star system Solis in the civil war and the squadron I serve in is meant to break the blockade and to end this civil war.
First missions I could choose from are listed. And in this has 6 missions. I chose the first in what I had to destroy mines marked with letter A. I took off with my wing man and headed to the first nav point. But I had now intentions to wait 10 min until my spacecraft reaches(distance was between me and nav point 1 about 100 km) there so I made the time flow 4 times faster with key Insert. As I was fling so far I had my mind somewhere else so I didn`t watch the game I only glanced few times to check how much more is left to there. But then I heard missile warning sound and I became aware that enemy fighters are attacking me. So I tried evading the missile and launched the buoy, but I think I was late with that. I was attacked by 6 fighters. I was able to destroy 1 of them, before I was killed. After shot down surprisingly I was returned to screen MISSIONS. So I chose this mission again and before I left my carriers I checked out the key with what I can call for backup. I called immediately for backup because I didn`t want to wait for another ten min before backup arrives. When I reached near the place I was shot down last time I immediately started looking for those fighters got first one on locked I assigned this on to destroy to my wing man and I took other 4 fighters. I still don`t know where my backup ended out but I didn`t see them fighting by my side. Me and my wing man killed every one of them. Proceeded to the minefield. The thing what surprised me was that the mines shoot back too! Now I say you why I sayd Mines marked with letter A. In this mine field are more mines than I could take care of there was only 6 mines marked with letter A. I destroyed them successfully and went back to base, docked without crashing and mission was successfully ended.
Then I took mission i what I had to destroy a frigate with group witch contained 4 fighters. I took off and started flying towards the target but I couldn't lock the frigate as target so I tried to go trough first nav point and try then again, but when I went trough that nav point and started looking for my target. After serious search I understand ed that my comrades already took him out. I returned to my carrier and ended mission by docking. End of this day!

Today I finished tutorial! First thing I did was to take the mission where I learn to kill or destroy ground targets! As you could assume action took place at surface of planet named "Janek" (why would name somebody planet like this?). I took off and went trough 1st and 2nd nav point. And then I was asked to switch on ground targeting mode. Then I had to assign water tower on right of me (but on my right was my base) for my wing man to destroy and I had to destroy other four water towers (which were the only ones in this area). I destroyed them successfully. By the way it was night when the mission took place. After destroying I had to land. First my wing man then me. But I had no intention to wait and in the rush of getting to land before my wing man I forgot to lower the landing gear and I crashed. So I did this mission again and when I started to land I followed my wing man and saw rectangles in air that were there for me to direct the landing path. Thanks to them I didn`t crash. This mission was successfully done. Btw the after the mission where I learnt to destroy airborne targets on surface of planet, I was granted the rank of Ensign (Ensign can drive all the destroyers in Starshatter game).
I continued missions and next was the learning to control Frigate type of ships. Frigates are 20 times bigger than destroyers but 3 times smaller than carriers. Mission took place in space. I had to destroy 4 drones and weapons that frigates have are magnificent. Truly magnificent!
TIP:Frigates and bigger ship are better to control orbit cam (camera view what is like locked on view in homeworld). Destroying drones was like kids play. Right away I finished frigate mission I took next what was cruiser mission (cruiser is almost as big as carrier but not so wide). I this mission I had to destroy another cruiser named "Wolf". But this "afro american" voice gave me totally wrong directions. It sayd that I had to turn 70 decrees. But the enemy cruiser was in direction of 320 decrees. So I searched for an hour. But defeating this ship was easy. Just couple of shots of torpedo's and fire from all of my beam weapons. Final mission was controlling the carrier. I understand ed from that mission that when you control carrier then you are the commander of the whole fleet. I sent 16 destroyers to patrol and 4 destroyers to escort my cruisers. After I finished this mission I got the rank of Lieutenant. I am now the leading officer of destroyers. That's enough for today! Bye!

Before I started playing Starshatter I glanced slightly into manual. I read about landing and it sayd that on ground speed must be at least 150 m/s to not crash and when I am about to touch ground then I should raise the nose of my aircraft slightly.
Okay! Day 2! I started mission 2 right away. And description sayd that in this mission I learn how to engage enemies in combat in space. In this mission I weren`t anymore wing man but I had a wing man. I took off and I went trough first navigation point. Before I got trough the second nav point I was asked to shoot down 8 probes with missiles and particle cannons. This wasn`t so hard to aim and shoot. But when I was about 5 km distance of probes it got hard to aim because they started to use evading moves. Pretty hard to shoot if you control your ship only with arrow keys.
I shot down successfully all the probes and continued to nav point 2. I went trough 2nd nav point and before I reached to 3rd nav point. I was stated that there are approaching two destroyers armed with training warheads. I assigned first destroyer to my wing man to destroy and second I destroyed myself. TIP: It isn`t good idea to play chicken with computer driven pilot because he will come straight at you and won`t stop or turn away. When I killed them I continued trough 4 and 5 nav point. I asked my wing man to land and landed myself. But when I landed then there was one strange thing. My landing was considered complete when my aircraft was still hanging two meters above the floor.
Then I selected mission 3 and description sayd that in this mission I will learn combat and maneuvering on surface of planet. I chose Accept and I found myself on airport takeoff trail getting ready to take off. So I took off and the screen was utterly different then I was asked to change my HUD color what was blue (sky and blue HUD color aren`t good match) and changed it to orange. First I was asked to destroy 4 drones then send my wing man to land when I went trough last nav point I was asked to land too! So I started to land but what a pity I crashed. So I stated mission again. I crashed again. Third time lucky! And third try was successful. I didn`t crash but mission just kept rolling and didin`t end so I guessed that it might be good to go there where mission started. When reached there then my aircraft mysteriously exploded!!!????
When I did this mission 4th time I finally understand ed that I have to land on track which lites are flashing. I landed there and mission ended. That's all for today!

Starshatter! What can I say about it? Only that it is my second game which action takes place in space. And it is much more I hoped for. I hoped for only simulator where you drive with only one destroyer. But you could drive vehicles starting with destroyers to massive carriers.

Day 1
Selected the option START GAME then it loaded first campaign what was tutorial. I saw a video that showed a destroyer arriving to (for me unknown) carrier. When that video ended I saw message box in which I was told to complete every training mission in this campaign. So I opened MISSIONS panel and saw couple missions. First mission had (and every other) time limit in which I had to complete the mission before Day 2 at 6pm. Then I clicked on this mission and in it`s description was written that it was mission where I learn to control my ship. Then I started the mission. First I saw was two fighters garrisoned. Then Afro-American man voice sayd that I am today his wing man. He asked me to wait until he takes off. Right after he had took off, my destroyer automatically moved into the center of takeoff platform then throttled up engines and my vehicle speed ed out. So I leaned what Afro-American voice sayd me. Landing was the hardest thing I learned in this mission. But I made it! When I returned to missions selection time (shown at top right part of the screen) was already Day2. That means farewell until day 2 is written by me!
