I have noticed that people i SI forum can`t separate expansion packs from games. They say that expansion pack is a game only cause it adds its own little story. But believe that expansion packs ARE not games. They may be sequel to something. And expansions rather expands (and there I believe the name has gome from) game world (with scripts, patches, new models, textures, uptades, ....). I don`t know how about others but The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon isn`t definately a game, but is just massive offical mod that you have to buy for money!

if thats your point,i agree, you see the ratings of the expansions are often lower, and the expansion only does a few changes and adds some few fun things, but still they think its a whole game.

Games are made so fast that they try to get the game out be for it's dun so all and all it's still the same game just adds more to the fun ;)

Some Stand-Alone EP's may be seen as full games, though. The Warhammer 40,000K EP's "Soulstorm" and "Dark Crusade", and CoH's "Opposing Fronts" and "Tales of Valour" are prime examples. Then there is DLC, so I think the definition of a proper EP is blurring.
