As most will probably know, GameSpot does their annual 'Game of the Year Awards' around this time, and this year is no different.
Their articles and video's are quite long and informative covering the entire year as a whole, and then each quarter separately, not to mention the the video's announcing the awards. However, the best part, and the reason I actually decided to post this blog here, was their addition to the 'Special Awards' category of:
"Most surprising title to make it past Aussie censors"
This award gave me a good chuckle, and I truly hope that the classification board see's the video, as it makes a good point about the inconsistencies of their decisions lately on game classiciations. Winning the award was GTA: China Town. A game for the DS, in which your main source of income is through the sales of illegal drugs of various kinds.
Anyway, I have to admit that GameSpot's 2009 Awards are quite interesting and informative, and if you've got a few hours spare or want to kill some time, the video's and articles will keep you busy, and quite often give you a laugh, so I recommend you all check it out.
