Schafer gives glimmer of hope for PC Brutal Legend, small slither

While the Double Fine man, Tim Schafer, was having a live chinwag he said something rather teasing like they're focused on console "right now."

The dev team are "really focused" on Brutal Legend for Xbox 360 and PS3, or at least for the moment. Though he does add you'll see it was "meant to be on a console," but PC has pads...

Midway sale to Warner "approved", to be finalised in "next 10 days"

It's done, the $33 million deal offered by Warner for some of Midway's shirts and that shoe buffer in the basement is complete, or will be in ten days time.

Midway San Diego and Newcastle studios were not in the deal, with the US-based team given "a required 60-day warning," so there's a chance "a bidder could come in" and buy it.

New Resi Evil flick by September next year, no word on Jovovich

According to reports, a new Resident Evil movie will be ready for cinemas by September 17th, 2010. A studio insider has supposedly confirmed the date.

It's called 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' and will be playing tourist in Tokyo and Alaska, with director Paul W.S. Anderson believed to be behind the script. Will Milla Jovovich return?

New Battle.net "has a lot of problems", it's "up in the air" right now

StarCraft II lead designer Dustin Browder has revealed a little bit of Blizzard's progress on the new Battle.net service, which seems very far away from completion.

He can't say much at all because it "might be a lie," they're still feverishly workin on it. It's "kind of up in the air" and Browder wishes "it wasn't, but it kind of is." More fuel to the LAN fire.

Left 4 Dead DLC announcement "before summer's out" says Valve

Doug Lombardi of Valve has revealed they plan on making an announcement this summer on more Left 4 Dead DLC, proving they will "keep supporting Left 4 Dead 1."

The devs "haven't shown everything" coming in Left 4 Dead 2 yet, and in "8, 9 months" people will see "the method of our madness". Plans free weekends for L4D2 "post-launch."

GOG completes 'Ishar Compilation', "20% off" pinball this weekend

Good Old Games, those lovers of all things classically PC, have crammed two more games into their Ishar Compilation for no additional monies, completing the series.

They're also running a promotion this weekend for pinball games, four to be exact, and each will be 20 percent off until Monday. That's "four games for under $20!" GOG hearts PC.

Guilty Gear 2: Overture hits Europe on 4th September for Xbox 360

505 Games announced today that Guilty Gear 2: Overture will be released exclusively for the Xbox 360 on 4th September 2009. Guilty Gear 2 will take fans in a bold new direction, borrowing elements from genres outside of the traditional one-on-one fighting action for which Guilty Gear has become famed.

Guilty Gear 2: Overture developer Arc System Works has blended action and real time strategy for their latest instalment, and for the first time have introduced 3D graphics the series. As well as taking control of their chosen character, players will command legions of loyal followers to crush all in their path. Battles are won and lost by destruction of opponents' strongholds, known as "Masterghosts" and by successfully defending one's own from enemy attack.

It's here, it's here, the EU PlayStation Store update is here. Frankly this week's shelf stacking is worth it alone for the classic adventures of James Pond.

I guess it's got other stuff too like Punisher: No Mercy, some MotorStorm DLC, Rock Band and Guitar Hero tunes, and one metric ton load of golf gear for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10.

Would "stylistically" love a different field for Gears "in near future"

Epic's Cliff Bleszinski has revealed there may be some significant changes coming to Gears of War soon, it could "stylistically" step outside "typical expectation".

The Cliffster notes that Gears "set off a certain visual style," that it's brand of war torn environments are "all the rage right now." Gears 2 tried to "get away from it a little bit".

Rumour-mill: Criterion going back to 3DO Need For Speed roots?

Alex Ward of Criterion has twittered a teasing line that could indicate they're bringing some old skool back to the franchise, but a later comment casts almost certain doubt.

He provides his twitter fans with "a return to the original 3DO version" of Need For Speed, but he adds it lists what he's playing and "not making fellas.." Be careful how you twitter I guess.
