Many fans were shocked to find that Sonic the Hedgehog 4, a remake of the original Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog, included a thing called 'physics'.
This kept our blue spike haired guy grounded more than usual, but the project was never a "straight port" argued Takashi Iizuka. They want our feedback.
"In this title, we have not done a straight port of the gameplay from the Genesis games, but rather updated it with actions which could not be done in the previous titles, like ceiling-running," said Sonic Team producer Takashi Iizuka.
Suddenly running up those slopes is harder than it seemed in the old Genesis days of yore. It's all because Sonic Team went and injected some real-life law. However it if proves too much of a contention then it may end up getting toned down.
"These changes probably made for a different feel to the longtime Sonic fans. We're happy for feedback like this, and we'll make sure we can improve the quality even further in upcoming titles," said the Sonic studio.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 next year.
