Swedish outfit Paradox Interactive is holding the 'Paradox Interactive Convention 2011' in New York City at the end of January, sadly not open to the public.

However to make up for that they'll be showcasing a number of their upcoming games in the works, as well as unveiling 7 all new projects for us to feast on.

Right now the Paradox team are running a competition to pick a winner to be classed as a 'VIP' for the convention in NYC, with our American brethren ranked "a little higher this time" seeing as how we Europeans get to see them all so much.

At the event will be Magicka, Cities in Motion, Pride of Nations, Magna Mundi, Sword of the Stars II, Supreme Ruler: Cold War and Dreamlords: Resurrection. The new projects being unveiled are all codenamed so there's little help there for hints.

Running on January 21st and 22nd the 'Paradox Interactive Convention 2011' will be hosted at the Hilton New York and includes the presence of new Paradox family developers like TurboTape Games, Seatribe, Radioactive Software and Colossal Order.

Have you got a Paradox Interactive creation you're burning for, videogamer?

"Supreme Ruler" - still flogging that old carcass (one very hard and not rewarding game). I'm afraid the other titles don't really do anything for me, but I am looking forward to Paradox publishing the next EP for "King Arthur: TRPWG" (The Druids, or some such Arthurian title).
