The free-to-play MMO Mytheon is still in the works despite all the legal troubles, and UTV True Games will soon be re-opening its beta phase to users.
By the end of this month its closed beta will resume with all previous beta testers being welcomed back, with promise of in-game rewards too.
"Moving the development of Mytheon to our internal studio is a very positive move for the game because we have total creative control over the title and we can tailor Mytheon's content to the preferences and needs of the community that has already grown around it," said UTV True Games CEO Jeff Lujan.
Star Wars: Empire at War developer Petroglyph was the original studio behind the Mytheon project but UTV took them to court demanding all of the IPs assets be turned over.
"First and foremost we are committed to improving the overall user experience for Mytheon," said UTV's Peter Cesario. "We received great feedback from our beta testers regarding certain issues they were experiencing and optimizing these areas is our top goal as we head towards our official launch."
UTV will be contacting previous beta testers via email with "exclusive keys and in-game rewards in the coming weeks leading up to Closed Beta period" so they can get first look at all the changes being made by the new team.
Mytheon is an MMO action-RPG with strategic gameplay "where players experience classic mythology come to life and challenge legendary gods to define their own fate." The new closed beta begins at the end of January on PC.
