| Custom PS3 firmware 'bricks' older consoles, users blindly adopt | |

A sheer lack of research - or an abundance of idiocy - is causing major brickage! You won't be 'backing up' your games anytime soon Those who have failed to read the forum threads where these custom firmwares are posted may well end up with a fancy black brick in their room. It appears the early PS3 consoles are primarily the ones permanently locking up. It's time for would-be pirates to have some egg on their face, not Sony. Source: Destructoid | |
