According to the latest issue of GameInformer magazine Prince of Persia: Heir Apparent will be due out this third fiscal quarter for Ubisoft.

That means sometime between October and December gamers can start platforming once again with the royal protagonist.

From what details have emerged the game won't be following the more traditional roots of the franchise but has instead taken on more of an 'Assassin's Creed' sort of vibe. No time altering mechanic is expected to make the cut but the Prince can still slide along walls.

Ubi found players easily got lost in the new approach so a more structured design was applied, but it's still less rigid than previous outings.
