Bethesda has sent out a press release confirming the release dates for their 2011 blockbuster lineup, which includes Brink, Hunted: The Demon's Forge, Rage, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Brink is confirmed as a May 17, 2011 release, and it is a scintillating mission-based persistent multiple class shooter featuring Pixar-level graphics and clever gameplay. The single player, co-op player and multiplayer campaigns are all interwoven - your progress in mission advancement and accrued experience points in single player will count in co-op and competitive, and vice versa. Missions feature context-sensitive tasks to earn XP towards completing the level goal. The game is being developed by Enemy Territory developers Splash Damage and it looks just awesome, having played it at the last two E3's.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge is a Diablo-styled hack-and-slash coming out on June 1, 2011 (June 3 in the EU) in which you take control of a ranged weapon expert or a master swordsman to hack, slash and shoot co-op through dungeons, overgrown ruins, and downtrodden towns. The game is being developed by inXile Entertainment.

Rage can be best described as Fallout Kart Racing with Borderlands mixed in, with violent racing and first person shooting through apocalyptic wasteland levels. The game features a tremendously detailed game engine that renders some of the most beautiful landscapes you can imagine. The game finally has a release date: September 13, 2011 (September 16 in the EU.)

Lastly, and definitely not leastly, Bethesda confirmed that The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim will be coming out on November 11, 2011 (yes, 11/11/11). The game features an all-new engine and combat system, and promises to suck the life out of every roleplaying game fan for months, especially since the PC version will have mod tools to increase the amount of replayability along with Bethesda's inevitable official DLC.

All games are due to be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Some will be essential purchses from day one, others can wait a while. All-in-all a good gaming year ahead.

That's exactly the problem even if I wait for price reductions, I have so many games that I want to buy that I don't think it will be enough.

Well... Demon's Forge sounds like an OK concept, remains to be seen how well it plays. The rest of the games seem more than awesome, can't wait!
