Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 requires constant PSN connection for DRM

The PlayStation 3 version of Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 requires a constant internet connection to PSN, and this is not for online play, but for DRM.

This isn't the first time Capcom installed this anti-sharing measure in a PlayStation Network game. Final Fight: Double Impact had the copy protection. Capcom apologized for it, but not for including the DRM, but for not warning gamers that that sort of DRM was included.

Capcom this time is giving users fair warning:

"NOTE: You must log-in to the PlayStation Network each time to play the game."

Keep in mind, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 has no online multiplayer whatsoever. Don't be surprised if while you're playing the game suddenly kicks you out because your connection wavers, as many who played Command & Conquer 4 on the PC discovered a while ago.

There you have it folks. What did I say, slowly constant internet connection as a requirement for playing singleplayer games is coming.

Ain't gonna happen. Too little of the population has broadband. Too many have bad connections.

Do you think the developers and publishers give a damn about that? Absolutely not. Just look at Assassins Creed 2.

Ha ha! Fail!

Seriously - remove the one thing that is so good with consoles - the ease of use and the little preparations you need to do to enjoy a game. Seriously? On-line all the time? Seriously number 2 - who the heck is buying that crap and making it a legitimate business option? STOP THAT!
