CEO Brian Farrell of THQ has announced that Volition Inc's Saints Row 3 will be releasing this Fall, but wouldn't reveal anything specific about it.
That's because he's been "placed under a very tight gag order" by the Saints Row team. The boss did tease that it sets a "new bar" in quality.
“I have been place under a very tight gag order by our Saint’s Row team. Hang in there: you’re going to love it,” CEO Farrell told an analyst at their investor call. They'll be spilling details about the game in the "near future", which is likely nearer E3.
Elsewhere from the THQ conference was news that Homefront will now be launching March 15th in the US, as it gets delayed a week. March 18th is the new UK and European release date, and March 10th for the gamers Down Under.
"THQ is poised for significant net sales and earnings growth in fiscal 2012 as a result of aggressive investment in owned intellectual properties and major franchises, a lean cost structure, and growing digital revenues," said Farrell.
“Fiscal 2012 will be driven by the strongest core games line-up in our history, including: Red Faction Armageddon, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine, MX vs. ATV Alive and the newest installment of our Saints Row franchise.”
For the third quarter ending December 31st, THQ posted a net loss of $14.9 million. For the same period last year they managed a profit of just $542,000. Revenue stood at $314.6 million which slipped a little from the previous $356.7 million.
Darksiders 2, Warhammer 40k: Dark Millennium Online and Devil's Third are all due in THQ's fiscal year 2013. The same goes for Guilliemero Del Toro's Insane project.
