| Ubisoft on hard denial, Conviction redesign is "pure speculation" | |

A recent publication of Xbox World 360 claims that the fifth instalment in the Splinter Cell franchise, Conviction, was sent back to the drawing board for lack of 'evolution'.
This is a claim Ubisoft are flatly refuting, but we'll have to see what the new fugitive Sam Fisher has up his NSA sleeve. The magazine 'speculated' that the game wasn't delivering enough and was in fact outdated already by Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed. Which is a little funny considering Conviction is taking on some of the strong points of Altair's world, like crowds. Splinter Cell: Conviction was announced at UbiDays last year and the next event is due in a couple of week’s time - hopeful fugitives will just have to wait and see.
