The third quarter posting from Disney Interactive show they raked in revenues of $349 million, which is up 58 percent from the same period in 2009.

However they still posted a loss of $13 million, a 13 percent increase. Disney Interactive reportedly coughed $763.2 million for Playdom in July 2010.

It was Junction Point's Epic Mickey for Nintendo Wii and Toy Story 3 that kept revenue high. Recently the games division of Disney has announced a change of strategy as they become a digital-only publisher, laying off significant numbers of studio staff.
