Publisher Activision, aside from butchering their music genre studios, has also revealed there will be no new skateboarding title from them this calendar.

There are to be "no new music or skateboarding games" in 2011. The Tony Hawk franchise is still nursing its wounds from Ride and Shred's dismal entries.

"We will release no new music or skateboarding games during the current calendar year," stated Activision COO Thomas Tippl, during their Q4 fiscal calling. The board-peripheral supported Tony Hawk games have tanked as fans were left unimpressed.

Tony Hawk: Shred developer Robomodo was hit with layoffs prior to the games launch, signalling the continued lack of confidence from Activision top brass in the IP. Is it time for the Tony Hawk series to finally rest?
