Are you someone who just loves to know what new fangled gizmos the developers cram into their game engines? Of course you are. BioWare dishes!

The DA2 team has lifted back the curtain and talks about its lighting and how it has "empowered" content creators, giving us "visually striking areas".

The blog is full of words like 'global illumination' and other such tech terminology. Basically it means we get levels looking more awesome and realistic.

"Overall, we feel that the technology changes have empowered our content creators to create clean, pretty, more consistent, very often visually striking areas that look and flow great throughout the game," blogged BioWare.

On their next blogging of DA2 they'll be discussing the DirectX 11 features included, "how they complement the base technology and how, while not required for enjoying the game itself, should improve the visual experience for players with higher end PCs."

Dragon Age 2 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC March 11th in Europe. A demo for the sequel RPG will be launched February 22nd. Check out BioWare's blog for more.

The game looks nice on DX9, I'm excited to see the differences on DX11. For now though, I'll just continue listening to the DA2 main theme music on repeat lol.

Lol I'm still playing DAO, my girlfriends alot further than me and she's nearly at the end, we've both really enjoyed it so far so I really hope the sequel is good. We'll be getting it on the 360 though cus thats what we played the first one on.

"Great Stuff" Indeed! I'm still playing the first one, and I'm pretty impressed so far.
