Telltale Games has unveiled the taut teaser trailer for their latest adventure game adaptation of a popular license, Jurassic Park: The Game.

Jurassic Park: The Game takes place during the events of the first film. The story picks up after Dennis Nedry (played by Wayne "Newman" Knight in the film) dies after stealing a Barbasol can full of invaluable dinosaur embryos. That night, a desperate smuggler infiltrates Isla Nublar, looking for the Barbasol can. She gets entangled with the park staff who are desperately trying to escape after Nedry had cut the power to the island's defenses, and ends up trapped with the rest of the staff.

You can check out the teaser trailer below.

Another Jurassic Park? Who are they expecting to buy this? Five year old kids?

Weird graphics at the beginning.
If its as good as Ghostbusters it could be nice.

It's an adventure game. It's not a shooter. And the graphics are awesome. I prefer story and writing to graphics - some of the worst games were basically tech demos for graphics (Unreal 2, anyone?)

Graphics age. Great writing does not. (See: Grim Fandango.)

Haven't played a JP game since the 2003, and from the looks of this probably never will again.

I'm a huge fan of the Jurassic Park franchise, and frankly it disappoints me a bit that it's only getting a low-budget adventure game like this. The franchise deserves better, not to talk-down Telltale, as I think they do nice work.. it just isn't suitable for Jurassic Park in my opinion. Oh well..

Low budget adventure game? How in the world is it "low budget"?

I'm talking comparitively, I'm sure it's costing more than a few dollars.. but I highly doubt it's got the budget of a title like Crysis 2 (just to name a random example), which is what I believe the Jurassic Park franchise deserves.. and whilst a big budget doesn't necessarily equate to a good game, it certainly helps.

This brings back the memories of the films. I have to say that it sure took a long time for them to finnally make a game adaptation.

There've been heaps of game adaptions from JP already, Evers dating back from 1993 (NES) right up to 2010 (mobile game). Most fun I had was with Australian-made " Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis", though I did have some guilty pleasure with Playstation's "Warpath: Jurassic Park".
Having watched the second film (for the millionth time) last night, I had a look at this again. Graphics are actually pretty good and the atmosphere, at least from the trailer is spot on...so perhaps.

Well, in my defense, I have to say that I have only watched the movies and have never read about the franchise at all. Still, this looks pretty good for a movie-to-game adaptation. Most of them like the Iron Man 2 game aren't worth the money.
