Battle: Los Angeles game coming

The Australian ratings board has inadvertantly leaked that a game based on the alien invasion movie Battle: Los Angeles is hitting videogame shelves.

The game is to be developed by Saber, which also developed TimeShift, the upcoming gravity-based shooter Inversion, and the rumored Halo: Combat Evolved update.

Battle: Los Angeles (called World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles outside the US) is exactly what it sounds like: an invasion of the Earth by aliens, focusing on the events in Los Angeles. It stars Michelle Rodriguez and Aaron Eckhart.

I'm assuming this movie came out already in some places around the world? If so, has anyone here seen it? Thoughts?

Look forward to the movie, not the game though I did enjoy the critically slammed "TimeShift".

If I remember correctly there is also a TV series in the works called "Falling Skies" also about alien invasion and Noah Wyle is starring.

Another one. We have the remake of "V" already (as awful as the original, to my mind) and the oh-so-boring "Skyline" movie that came and went. What is it with 'invasion' movies coming back again? Formulaic, un-original and predictable Hollywood must believe it's time to rope in another generation. I blame "Entertainment Today" for all of this (their Top Weekly Earners List ended creativity in the movie industry years ago).
"District 9" and "Monsters" at least were a bit original.

I quite like the new V series. I've never seen the original.

Why the Americans have to have a single mum and kid in their shows is stomach-churning. Probably why the Pilot of "V" put me off from the start. The original "V" - don't take it from me as it was a hit...I just couldn't stand it.

The original V was the bomb of its time - now hardly watchable without getting a sick nasty feeling in the stomache ;)
