Victory Games to handle Command & Conquer IP

Electronic Arts has announced that the Command & Conquer IP is now in the hands of newly formed developer Victory Games. The new studio is reportedly headed by Jon Van Canegham, who managed the Command & Conquer brand for EA Los Angeles and previously created the classic Might & Magic roleplaying games.

"Victory Games was created to be the focal point for the creation of strategy games for the Games Label at EA," Caneghem said. "Our current focus is making a AAA Command & Conquer game, which I am very excited to be working on."

There is no other information about the new Command & Conquer game except that it's a PC game; the development stage is too early to go into any details, according to Caneghem.

Let us know: what would you like to see in a Command & Conquer 5 or new Red Alert game?

Well the next game in the C&C series should be Command & Conquer Generals 2.

How about a completely new RTS game? I'm too old for game reincarnations. Seen too many.

What comes around goes around and what's old is new again. You know how it goes, Kres. We who've been gamersd since the 1970's have ssen pretty much all there is to offer, but there is still always an IP or two that strays outside the box.
However, EA won't stray too far from the box...it's a cash box after all.
